Our School
Care, Honesty, Determination, Respect, Responsibility and AppreciationPrimrose Nursery

Primrose Nursery welcomes children from the age of two onwards. Our school nursery provides children with a fun, stimulating and nurturing place to learn, helping them to develop the social, academic and life skills they need to thrive as they grow.
About Primrose Nursery
Primrose Nursery is part of Lavender Primary School. Our preschool welcomes children from two years old and our nursery is for three and four-year-olds. We offer 15 and 30-hour funded places for eligible families, plus self-funded options.
Our nursery is run by fully qualified, fun and friendly staff. Children learn and play in spacious classrooms and a fantastic outside space, with free-flow movement between the two. Activities are designed to ensure children make the most of their sessions.
Attending a school nursery is a great way to get your child ready for primary school. Our staff follow the early years curriculum, encouraging healthy development and building the foundations for a lifelong love of learning.
We would love to meet you and your child and show you our facilities. To arrange a tour, please contact the nursery on 020 8363 1058 or at nursery@lavender.enfield.sch.uk.
Everyone involved with the school talks about the ‘Lavender Love’ that is at the heart of the school. It is a warm and welcoming place of learning.

Curriculum
We deliver the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework. This is made up of seven areas of learning and development, which guide our engagement with your child’s play and activities as they learn new skills and knowledge.
Children develop the three prime areas first: communication and language, physical development and personal, social and emotional development. These are essential for healthy development and future learning. As children grow, the prime areas will help them to develop skills in four specific areas: literacy, maths, understanding the world and expressive arts and design.
In the early years, children’s needs are carefully assessed. Teachers make good use of stories and read to children regularly. All this helps children build their knowledge of letters and sounds.

All classes run from Monday to Friday term time only.
